On Saturday, May 12, the district honored and recognized three community volunteers for their work and 137 middle and high school students for their academic achievements and contributions to their community. Success has many faces, and we will saw that as these students came forward to receive their awards. Some were honored for being outstanding leaders, others are new to this country and have shown remarkable progress in adapting to our country and culture; and still others have distinguished themselves as scholars, community volunteers, or both. Each one of these students personifies the shining Latino stars in AISD. We are proud of each and every one of you!
